2. Figure out your conversions event
On WhatsApp, there can be multiple events you can consider as conversionss and send Meta the signal.
At AiSensy, we term conversions events as
1. Lead acquired or
2. Purchase completed!
In the above image, we have added CAPI to a purchase event as well as a lead generation event requesting callback.
Based on both of these events, CAPI will send data back to Meta's ad system and further, optimise your leads, ensuring your ad shows to only quality leads.
E.g. Let's say you're running a lead generation ad for your real estate company. A user lands on your WhatsApp from an ad and successfully fills out your WhatsApp form.
For you, the form filled up is the conversion event.
Here's another example: Let's say you're an e-commerce brand selling your products on WhatsApp using native WhatsApp payments.
For this, payment completed via WhatsApp payment will be your conversion event. conversions data of user who successfully purchase your product will go to the meta ads system, and the ad targeting will be optimised to find more such leads.
3. Drag & Drop conversionss API to your Chatbot playground
From the elements bar, pick the conversions API element and drop it onto the Chatbot playground.
4. Add conversions API to your Chatbot flow
In the elements sidebar, drag & drop the conversions API element on to the Chatbot playground.
Connect the CAPI element after the form fillup component/ WhatsApp payments. So whenever a user successfully fills out a form, that conversion event will be sent to the Meta Ads system, and the ad will optimise to find more such leads.
That's it!
Meta's conversions API will now take over and send conversion signals to Meta's ad system to further optimise your ads.
